Dedication

This past Sunday, the 25th, we had baby E's dedicated at church. It was so good! All of Aaron's family(minus 1 brother/family) was able to make it. None of my family could come because of responsibilities at their home churches. I'm ok with that because my dad, being a pastor, is going to dedicate him also. I LOVE our church family and am so grateful for the love they've shown us.

And, we're done! I heard people laughing as we walked away. I'm pretty sure it had somehting to do with the fact that I had a kid on each hip =)

Earth Day

It was a little after 9pm and K had been up to potty about 3 times in 15 minutes. She was not being very quiet and the bathroom is right next to the bedroom she shares with baby E. I hear Baby E start crying and make my move as the mommy. It's time to poop or get off the pot!

My baby E isn't even 7 months old yet! I might have an over-achiever on my hands.

Eight years ago today....

I got married!

Aaron and I met at church. My roommate from college told me her churches coed softball team needed more girls. I love softball so I agreed to play. In order to play I needed to attend one sevice a week(I was still going to church with my parents). Tana had told me about this guy I "just had to meet". The first Wed. night I went he was there. This cute guy in his blue work dickies. That was May of 1999. We had our first date July 4th and he met my parents a week later(the same day he had 4 staples put in his head after he ran into a part on the plane he was working on). I knew right away he was the man I would marry. I think it took him a little while to figure it out because he waited a year to tell me he loved me. And the it took him another year to propose! And on April 20th, 2002 we became one.

And here we are, 8 years and 4 kids later, just as happy as 2 people could be. I love my man and feel so very blessed for every day that we have together. Only God could have know that I would need him so much.

Another first!

Ethan lost his first tooth today! It had been loose for a long time but just really began to give the last couple of days. I'm the one who pulled it and I didn't even do it on purpose. He was so scared it was going to hurt and didn't cry at all. I am so proud of him =)

Aaron's parent's(Nonni and Grandad) took the boys to an amusement park last summer. I was a nervous wreck most of the time. Not because I didn't trust my in-laws to watch my boys but because I knew that my boys might see something and walk off before anyone could blink. After all was said and done, the boys never walked off and a good time was had by all. Well, Nonni and Grandad are taking the boys back to the same park this summer. However, this time another cousin is being added to the mix. In our efforts to be proactive in the safety of our children Aaron and I started thinking of ways we could put our info on them in case they got lost. This is what we came up with....

....dog tags for our children. As you can see, each one is a different color but the all have the same info. The child's name, city/state and three different phone numbers. My plan is to have the kids wear these whenever we go somewhere(i.e. the zoo, children's museum, amusement park). I'm hoping they don't get lost but if they do I only paid $20 for all of them and I had them within a week of ordering. And the more I thought about it I just didn't think tattooing my kids was such a smart thing =) So I tagged them instead.

I love my mom. I would do just about anything for her. She is one of the wisest women I know and I seek her councel often. She understands me because she has once been where I am now...a mom of 4 small children. We spent the day together recently, which is something that rarely happens. I, of course, had 3 of my 4 small children with us but they were very well behaved. We went shopping and out to lunch and then we met up at her church that evening for a ladies dinner.

There was a fashion show and we were involved. Just to explain our attire a bit...we represented the month of March. The month of March Madness. It was my dad's idea, really.
So we found something that would kinda look like a basketball uniform. And then decided that it gets so windy in our part of Oklahoma that we should also sport the "wind-blown' look. I think we pulled it off =)

Turkey makes it ok

A couple of nights ago Evan got me up at 4 to eat. It's been a while since he's been up that early. He's gotten to the point of waking between 5 and 6 and then going back to bed. My body was thrown off a little and I was NOT able to go right back to bed. I was in the middle of a good book so I stayed up to read for a bit. My tummy was hungry. I had some nachos. Am I the only one that has done this? Eaten nachos at 5am, I mean?





I used ground turkey so that makes it ok, right?

Easter egg hunt

Our church had a super fun egg hunt. Two of my brothers and their families were able to come. The cousins had so much fun playing together and I loved getting to see my sister-in-laws.

Missing medicine has been FOUND!

So, Levi and Katie were playing nicely in the boys bedroom yesterday afternoon when Levi says he need me. I wlk in that bedroom and there is Levi holding a ziplock bag with Katie's 3 week old medicine in it.
